PRECISION Guided Lifting
Features Built for Precision
Overwatch is engineered around proprietary targeting software and a physics-driven damping system that align the boom tip’s true center of gravity directly within a customizable reticle. Paired with a 30x optical HD camera, the system delivers a stabilized, high-definition view of the lift zone, bringing personnel, rigging, and load behavior into sharp focus. Integrated video and audio recording capture under-hook footage alongside in-cab radio communications, creating a powerful tool for review, training, and operational accountability.
Designed for real-world job-site demands, Overwatch installs in minutes using a patented boom-clamp system and operates fully wirelessly, no cabling between the boom and cab. It draws less than 20 watts from existing boom-light power and adapts across multiple crane configurations, including lattice and jib setups. With long-range connectivity options and on-screen reticle customization, Overwatch delivers flexible, deployable intelligence wherever precision matters most.
Why Small Errors Create Big Risk
From inexperienced riggers to seasoned operators, boom alignment is one of the most critical and often most dangerous phases of a lift. Small misalignments at the boom tip can quickly translate into load drift and unwanted swing, leading to uncontrolled movement once the load is under tension.
Key risk factors
Correction is often reactive, allowing drift to develop before it can be controlled
Heavier loads and longer boom configurations significantly increase exposure
Even minor misalignment can result in serious injury or equipment damage
Stopping Load Drift Before It Starts
Load drift is a reference and timing problem, compounded by boom deflection under load. During alignment, riggers establish a visual reference to line the boom up as accurately as possible. However, once the load comes under tension, even a perfectly aligned boom can deflect, subtly increasing radius and shifting the load’s position.
If that change in radius isn’t immediately recognized, the operator may continue correcting to the original reference, allowing drift to develop. Overwatch provides real-time reference at the boom tip, where deflection and drift begin, so changes are visible as they happen, not after movement has already occurred.
By restoring real-time awareness of alignment and deflection, Overwatch allows operators to correct earlier, maintain control, and keep loads aligned throughout the lift.
What This Changes On Every Lift
OverWatch reduces load drift by restoring a real-time reference at the boom tip, where alignment, deflection, and movement begin.
Key benefits
Earlier correction before drift and swing develop
Improved coordination between rigger and operator
Greater control as boom deflection and radius change under load
Reduced exposure to people, structures, and equipment
Maintains placement control when blind lifts leave no margin for error
The Result: More controlled lifts, fewer surprises under load, and safer outcomes for everyone involved.
